Micro fleece is very fine and tight pile version or of a regular fleece. It's usually used for sports and active wear as it provides warmth and comfort whilst being breathable and flexible. Ironically, Micro Fleece is also used to describe Cuddle or Plush Fleece which is a very fluffy, loose pile and soft fleece that is generally used for toys and blankets. Note that Cuddle/Plush fleece does not have anti-pill properties therefore it does have a tendency to bobble.
